The S&S St Christopher won the Marathon Prize for shortest Journey...from the East Basin

Motor Boats

We had a small but immaculate group of motor boats. The modest but beautiful Crest won the Je Ne Sais Quoi

 

The skipper of Charm won the Ellen MacArthur Prize for Seamanship, single handing her from the Walton Backwaters

 

The small but speedy Fanny of Cowes won Friday's Passage Race, not on handicap, but with line honours after starting twenty minutes late!

On the way home Nissa's crew looked round and they were being approached by a lifeboat. They hadn't heard any distress calls then they realised it was The Robert making for home

Great Days and VIC96, 2009 Thames Festival Classic Rally

Great Days and steamship VIC96 on the way up the Thames. VIC96 provided great entertainment when moored against the Pier. If you were lucky you got a chance to toot the whistle
