The Thames Festival Classic Rally brings together a collection of yachts and boats of all sizes and types which have a connection to the River and its Estuaries

The inaugural rally in 2009 was a great success. Entering the historic St Katherine Docks was like stepping back in time as you cast your eye around a fabulous variety of craft: From a rugged oyster smack to the most elegant racing launch, from an offshore racing yacht to a veteran lifeboat Thames rater

Ashore there was a mixture of stalls and features
providing extra period feel. A figurehead carver, a coracle maker, try an oyster, etc. To
complete the scene all involved in the rally will dressed
in keeping with the period and style of their boat

A big thank you to all those who joined in and helped us make this new event a 'must' for all Classic Boat enthusiasts.

We are already bursting with ideas and suggestions to make next year bigger and better

10-12th September 2010. Programme to follow .

Entrants and crew and their guests had exclusive access to the pontoons including their own 'Floating Clubhouse' where we held a champagne reception on the Friday evening, followed by a Entrants Dinner in the Dockside Marquee. In the Marquee we had a pre-party supper on Saturday and Prize Giving on Sunday

On Saturday we hosted SS Atlantica, at a secret location nearby to which all entrants and crew were invited. The theme was ‘the Golden Age of The Transatlantic Liners’. It was a glittering occasion.
